Background
The Macquarie River is a natural waterway winding 626km through Dubbo, Bathurst, and other communities in NSW. The river has been used for hundreds of years for recreation, fishing, agriculture and industrial water supply.
Our team worked to improve groundwater security for the Dubbo region through the construction of the Northern Bore Field Pipeline Project. This project connects three production bores via a 9km pipeline, creating security for the Dubbo region in the event of a cease to flow in the Macquarie River.
The pipeline also connects into with the existing bore water pipeline (constructed as part of the separate Dubbo Non-potable and Bore Water Pipeline Project) and the John Gilbert Water Treatment Plant in South Dubbo.
