Background
The Mt Gambier to Finger Point sewer trunk main transports wastewater from Mt Gambier wastewater pump station No.1 to the Finger Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, approximately 30km to the south.
This project involved the detailed design and construction of a new sewer trunk main and the duplication of the only remaining section of RCRJ to limit and/or prevent any failures from occurring in the future.
Works were delivered as part of a joint venture and included the supply and installation of approximately 7km of 6100OD Mild Steel rubber ring jointed (MSCL RRJ) pipework, short section of 610O0D welded joint MSCL at link-ins, Cathodic Protection system, link-ins to existing infrastructure, supply and installation of air and scour points along the pipeline alignment, supply and installation of flow metering infrastructure.
