They might be tiny, but they certainly made a big splash at the annual Adaminaby Easter Fair!
It’s the thousands of coloured plastic ducks who race through the stormwater channel of this NSW town as part of the Wacky Quacky Duck Race.
Leed was proud to return as a sponsor for this fun and quirky event where the first duck over the line wins $1000. This year’s event featured five Leed ‘wildcard’ ducks, offering racegoers additional chances to win.
Ideal race conditions and a fast-flowing current were delivered by the Adaminaby RFS Brigade’s fire hoses and the race was underway.
Punters young and old lined the route cheering the colourful competitors on as they jostled around bends, under the Snowy Mountains Highway, and raced through a culvert on their way to the finish line.
About 3,000 people turn out each year for the Adaminaby Easter Fair, with popular attractions ranging from a dog high jump and trout tossing to a tug of war, cupcake decorating, and firewood auction.
At Leed we love to support the broader communities beyond the boundaries of our infrastructure projects.
