We are nearing the completion of commissioning for SA Water’s Angle Vale Stage 1 water project, which is delivering critical water infrastructure that will support residential growth across Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
The project is our first under SA Water’s Pipeline Delivery Partner (PDP) program and has involved the installation of 4.5 kilometres of mild steel cement-lined (MSCL) pipe up to one metre in diameter.
Working in and around residential areas, the majority of works were undertaken overnight to minimise disruption to the community.
Key milestones have included a pipeline crossing beneath Main North Road, installation of a microtunnel beneath the Gawler Rail Line, and a crossing of an existing creek on Stebonheath Road.
We would like to acknowledge the contribution of our project partners WSP in Australia and Gould Thorpe Planning Pty Ltd (GTP), along with local subcontractor Reimann Manufacturing Pty Ltd, who undertook the on-site pipe welding works.
In addition to the Angle Vale Stage 1 project, our crews have been working on other sites as part of SA Water’s largest expansion of the metropolitan water and wastewater network in decades. Pipelaying work has also been underway at Curtis Road, Heaslip Road and Craigmore Road.
