Background

Leed was engaged by the Bega Valley Shire Council (BVSC) to repair damage to infrastructure caused by bushfires and flooding. These projects were funded under the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.

Completed projects include:

  • Towamba Road
  • Coopers Gully Road
  • D&C Darragh and Tantawangalo Road
  • Dr George Mountain Road
  • Additional D&C Site Darragh Road

Scope

One main focus of this project was improving drainage systems and repairing roadside slips. The scope of work encompassed approximately 250 general maintenance sites and 40 design-and-construct (D&C) sites.

Before construction could commence, each site underwent a series of critical steps in collaboration with BVSC and Transport for New South Wales. These steps included surveying, geotechnical site mapping, slope risk analysis, concept design, detail design, and final pricing approved by TfNSW and BVSC.

Our experience on these projects highlights our expertise in disaster recovery and our ability to collaborate effectively with local authorities and government agencies.
