The Board

Andrew Millar—Chairman of the Board

Andrew is a founder and co-owner of Leed and a Civil Engineer with more than 35 years’ experience in the design and construction of civil infrastructure including bridges, dams, building works, road, rail, water and wastewater across Australia. He has extensive experience in many forms of contract delivery including alliance, partnering and early contractor involvement for major projects.

Craig Laslett—Executive Board member

Craig is a co-owner of Leed and a Civil Engineer with more than 35 years industry experience and a passion for improving communities through the delivery of outstanding infrastructure. He has held key leadership roles with leading civil construction companies and is an active contributor to the advancement of the construction industry.

Trevor Baldock—Non-executive Board member

Trevor is an accomplished lawyer and business adviser with over 35 years’ experience as a manager and director. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and is an accredited LEADR mediator. Trevor advises Leed on company management, commercial transactions and corporate governance responsibilities.

Mark GobbieNon-executive Board member

Mark has almost 40 years' leadership experience in engineering and water infrastructure and a comprehensive understanding of the industry from the perspective of both service providers and water authorities. He has held senior leadership roles in a major water utility and an international engineering design consultancy.

Craig Laslett—Managing Director

Jo Friedrichs—General Manager Corporate Services

Jo is a people and culture specialist with over 20 years’ management experience, strong technical knowledge and the ability to think conceptually, strategically and analytically. She specialises in HR transformation, industrial relations, organisational development and building a high performance culture. Jo is responsible for the overall performance of Leed's Corporate Services department. 

Paul Teakle—General Manager Operations

Paul is a Civil Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry and is highly skilled in managing complex projects. Whether the project entails major earthworks, water infrastructure, mining, or the construction of structures and services, Paul’s skills in liaising with clients and stakeholders and his strong leadership of the team contribute to outstanding outcomes.

Leigh Sutherland—General Superintendent

Leigh has 30 years’ experience in the supervision of major civil infrastructure projects. He has worked for various authorities throughout Australia and has been with Leed since its inception. He has the ability to analyse construction techniques and methodologies to identify the most suitable and cost-effective solutions for clients.
