Design and Construction

Client: SA Water
Location: Adelaide, SA
Year: 2008

This project is the first full alliance project undertaken in South Australia. Similar to the Adelaide Desalination Transfer Pipeline Project, the pipeline route of GAP traverses similar terrain, private and public corridors. A preliminary design has been developed allowing a cost estimate to be prepared in preparation for submitting a TOC to SA Water.

The project particulars are as follows;

  • 35ML/day Treatment Plant capable of 6.5 log removal;
  • 3 pump stations;
  • 10km of 750mm pipeline from the Glenelg Waste Water Treatment Plant to Adelaide Parklands;
  • 40km of ring main in the Adelaide Park Lands – in sizes ranging from 550mm to 150mm.
