This project is one of two new biodiesel facilities for Australian Renewable Fuels Limited being constructed.  The facility will produce diesel fuel from renewable resources such as animal fats and vegetable oils.

Leed were contracted by Leighton’s to undertake the initial detailed earthworks and concrete works associated with the plant.  Leighton’s contract was design and construct and consequently Leed were awarded additional works as the design became available.

Leed's final contract included:

  • Detailed earthworks for preparation of concrete works
  • Concrete footings, foundations and structures
  • Supply and placement of cast in items (incl Holding down bolts)
  • Site services Final site works including kerbing, roadworks etc
  • Grouting of base plates

Work was undertaken in close proximity to the Port river and therefore environmental sensitivity in construction and product use was essential.
