Tailem Bend to Narrung Pipelines

Friday, September 12, 2008

The Tailem Bend, Narrung and Lower Lakes pipelines project involves the design and construction of new potable water supply pipelines for domestic and stock needs to the drought affected areas of Narrung, Meningie and the Lower Lakes areas. This pipeline project will serve two separate regions; specifically: Tailem Bend to Narrung and Strathalbyn to Langhorne Creek.

The works associated with the project are design construction of approximately 150km of buried PVC pipelines ranging in size from 150mm to 375mm in diameter, customer connections, pipe terminations and connection to the existing SA Water infrastructure.  The pipeline is critical to the occupants of the areas to be served by the new pipelines and as such the deadline for completion of the project is a significant factor.
